If you are a believer in the reptilian theory, you can extend the connections here to encompass the modern mythology of ancient astronauts. You may have already started to figure this out. If you have read up on the Anunnaki, you know that the Flood story is woven into their mythos in a couple of different respects:. The Book of Jubilees actually states in 7: It is clear that the Nibiru story and the Biblical story are both referring to the same cataclysmic event. The stories may differ as to the cause of the Flood, but both narratives connect to a mysterious race of powerful beings which used humanity for its own ends.
It seems likely that they are referring to the same race of overlords. According to scholar J. Greenfield, it is possible that the Nephilim story in the Bible is actually derived from Sumerian mythology. Judeo-Christian mythology borrows liberally from pagan myth, so this would not be a surprise. In particular, Greenfield points toward the story of the Apkallu. The Apkallu were seven demigods created by Enki, one of the chief Sumerian gods.
These beings were sent by Enki to teach human beings the arts of civilization: You may recall this is a direct parallel to the Book of Enoch, where the fallen angels taught humanity about astronomy, astrology, and so forth. Just as things turned sour in the Book of Enoch, they went badly in Sumerian lore as well.
Interestingly enough, this is where the timeline starts to get murky. In Biblical lore, the Nephilim angered God before the Flood, which was one of the reasons the Great Flood happened in the first place.

In the Sumerian story, events took place in a different order, but it is easy to imagine that the players were the same. At some point after the Flood, four Apkallu-human hybrids make an entrance: Nungalpirriggaldim, Pirriggalnungal, Pirriggalabsu, and Lu-nana. This indicates that Apkallu and humans were capable of interbreeding, a parallel to the idea that fallen angels and humans were capable of interbreeding. This is why many scholars believe that the Nephilim myth was directly derived from the story about the Apkallu. It could be that the Nephilim represent the Apkallu themselves or more likely their hybrid descendents.
Do not forget, in Biblical lore, the Nephilim are the children of fallen angels, not fallen angels. If anything, the Nephilim can probably be equated to the Apkallu-human hybrids , not the Anunnaki themselves. Remember, the Anunnaki were gods. The Apkallu were demigods. Stories about the Nephilim are vague at best, but we now have three rough versions of a single set of events. Splicing together the information from Genesis, Numbers, The Book of Enoch and Jubilees, we get the following basic story:.
The Nephilim were either entirely human giants or they were a race of hybrids spawned by human women and fallen angels. In His wrath, God flooded the world to wipe out the Nephilim and humanity save for Noah and his family. One of the Anunnaki, Enki, created seven demigods to help civilize humankind.
These demigods were known as the Apkallu. Apkallu and human beings were capable of interbreeding. After the Great Flood, four human-Apkallu hybrids appeared who evoked the wrath of the gods. Reptilian theorists believe that the Anunnaki were real, literal beings, and moreover, that they came from space. Their homeworld is an undiscovered planet called Nibiru in a long orbit around the earth. When they came to earth, they brought many of the arts of civilization, but like the fallen angels of Christian lore, they used human beings for their own purposes.
Some reptilians survived on Earth, but Nibiru moved along in its rotation. The next time it returns, we can expect further cataclysms. In modern Hebrew you can use a form of Na'amah's name to say "pleased to meet you: All this to say that as monstrous as the nephilim are, their inception has been instrumental to the advancement of human civilization. Another case bearing out the truth of "all things work together for good" Rom 8: Where the demons came from that Jesus and Paul dealt with in their ministries is a question never explained clearly in the NT.
In fact, it's not explained explicitly anywhere in the Bible. Nevertheless, the Jewish Book of Enoch does elaborate quite a bit on this topic. Even though Enoch is not Scripture, that does not mean it cannot be helpful to consult like other imperfect Jewish books such as Josephus. The NT itself quotes Enoch Jude 1: Enoch can help fill in details that Scripture does not give—so long as those details do not contradict Scripture.
What Enoch indicates is that the demons are the spirits of the Nephilim released upon their death. I have no reason to doubt Enoch on this as certain details in the Bible fit well with this different origin for demons compared to angels. For one, it seems that unlike angels, demons cannot just manifest a body.
If they were born into the nephilim body then it makes sense that when it's dead that they are out of luck unless they find another one. We see in the NT a strong desire to inhabit bodies demonstrated in demon behavior. They possess people when they can Lk When Jesus said that the end times would be "just like Noah's day," was he indicating the return of the nephilim?
The short answer is no because he also said it would be "just like the days of Lot," too, which was not associated with giants. Yet there is something that Noah and Lot both had in common in their days See this article for the full story on what Jesus was referring to in context. Obviously there are no marauding giants today. All have been killed off by modern times and their giant skeletons are found throughout the world and quickly hidden by Satan's workers who want that part of history hidden.
Here's a question to ponder: If angels can create giants, wouldn't creating other types of humanoids, say normal-sized ones, be a piece of cake by comparison? Several of Jesus' statements make one wonder if that is not what Satan switched over to. In more enlightened times like our own, giants are not going to succeed like they once did, for obvious reasons.
For example, there is the Parable of the Tares and Wheat where Jesus describes offspring of Satan that are indistinguishable from the offspring of God until the end of the age when the angels can pick them out and dispose of them Mt Then there is where Jesus calls the Jewish religious leaders"sons of their father Satan. He could have been given the nephilim. The clincher for this line of reasoning is found in a revealing detail about the fate of the Beast and False Prophet. They are slated to be thrown into the lake of fire Rev However, their destruction there will come over years earlier than the rest of humanity's does at the Great White Throne Judgment.
Even the armies who they lead to fight against Christ do not go to the lake of fire final, "second death" of the soul with them but are simply killed only "first" death of the body - Rev No, the Bible says all humans are to be judged and to account for every word before God at the last day John The only conclusion that fits is that these two are not human, but humanoid.

They are demonic nephilim who cannot be saved. That being the case, there is no reason to wait years for them to be judged like humanity is. They go straight to the lake of fire like the rest of the demons do at the end of the age Mt Similarly, the fallen angels go into the prison of the abyss with Satan Rev In this way, both kinds of evil spirits will be removed at the start of the Millennium so they cannot deceive humanity in God's kingdom on earth anymore Rev See my article on this.
If the Beast and False Prophet are nephilim that appear human and deceive the world this way, then there may be more already today. As the late Chuck Missler's Return of the Nephilim video teaching suggests, perhaps the alien abductions of today yes, even of Christians are simply the modern version of the angels "taking wives of all which they chose" Gen 6: Perhaps the aliens are not extra-terrestrial and instead are extra-dimensional coming from the spiritual plane of God, angels and demons. I've heard this question countless times. It's a bit amusing how it usually takes the other form of "Can someone be nephilim and not know it" similar to the sheepish question people ask "I have this friend who When we hear there are non-giant nephilim among us, it is quite natural to wonder if somehow you might be a monster yourself and not know it.
The same question occurs when believers find out about the unpardonable sin. They wonder if they might have committed it unknowingly. My short answer to this question would be much the same as for the unpardonable sin: What I have heard about nephilim would back this up. Bear in mind that if you are a nephilim, it means you have been specially created by an angel for a purpose. Many of the nephilim are in high places of power like presidents and prime ministers, kings and queens.
The Nephilim and the Great Flood
Would they completely abandon you and not put you to use? Also, you would have a demonic spirit in you, not the human spirit which apparently gives powers. Reportedly nephilim can manifest their demonic spirit outwardly making them no longer look human but monsters. This is where the "reptilian race" theory comes from. My conclusion is therefore that if you were nephilim you would know by nature or would know because a fallen angel parent visits you.
Now for the other question of are there nephilim around you and you don't know, that is indeed possible.

Again, unless you see them shape shift or with a fallen angel, I don't think you can tell. It is probably disheartening for many to find out that God has chosen to allow the existence of not only a Devil, but also fallen angels, demons and physical monsters called nephilim, too. This fact is shocking to many Christians. But should it be? Those are no doubt nephilim created by the fallen angels locked up in the abyss, if not somehow? Yet, God has also revealed his plan in Bible prophecy for saving us on earth from the Great Tribulation.
Understanding the Nephilim and their Role in Bible Prophecy
Likewise, although we may not like it or understand it, there is no need to be anxious about the monsters God allows among us. If God is allowing these things, he has a plan to make it work for good Rom 8: How could it be any other way with a loving Father like we have? Hi Tim, please could you share a link if you have the post on Christians being here during the great tribulation. I would love to understand it better. I also enjoyed reading the book of Enoch. It puts many things in perspective, lots of excerpts were drawn from it in the making of the movie, Noah.
There was plenty mention of the watchers in it. Really insightful and informative! This explained a lot to me. I had a few questions and you answered them. This was a good article. Your article was very succinct. I persoanlly have been trying to understand if the bible is telling us giants will be coming back in the last days? It is so hard to believe such supernatural things could still happen in such a modern age. And with so much fake news, videos, and now audio, it is going to be more difficult to discern what is real.
But we are not giving a spirit of fear from God, so no matter what happens, we continue to trust our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Michael, giants are not coming back. When Jesus spoke of the days of Noah he was not talking about giants because he mentioned the days of Lot in the same breath. I dont think it can be said with certainty that giants are not coming back. In fact there are modern accounts of giants as recently as the last years, such as the living redheaded giant of Kandahar that a US special forces unit killed with great difficulty. It is not impossible that giants will play a role and come back regardless of certain bible passages not relating to giants.
Remember, some of the Revelation was sealed up. Hence my statement of no giant men again to be expected. While the Book of Enoch may be good for some understanding, I was extremely pleased with how you almost solely referenced Scripture, and properly interpreted at that. The last parts are more possibly theoretical, but definitely within the realm of possibility and something to ponder and pray about. Thanks, and God bless you. Excellent and scary article, Tim. Can you please give a direct link to the article you are referencing here? Clay, thanks for the report. Hi Tim, I thought I had read all of your studies but just found this one, and its so odd as this is one of my favorite subjects and you are one of my favorite bible teachers!
Its very interesting, and so is his new 3 series documentary film- True Legends. More people should be aware of this very important part of biblical history, its unfortunate that The Book of Enoch was left out of canon otherwise I feel the Christian Body would not be so lukewarm today. April, Steve Quayle is a great resource on giants, and I saw True Legends part 3 which was incredible information. Marzulli has suggested such about the greys, and its actually something I have always wondered in the back of my mind.
It also answers our questions as to what their motives are for many of the important decisions they make today that impact us so negatively. However, it seems all that is in the dark is being brought to light. I wanted to share this with you because you have also come to the same conclusion in your studies regarding the timing of the Lords return: Thank you April, very interesting reading, something to chew on.
Thank you Tim for such an excellent article. Although not canonical the Book of Enoch is extremely important in getting a complete eschatological picture as it was written for this time, referenced and alluded to in the Scriptures. Furthermore, the Book of Enoch was found at Qumran and the early church in the canon as well as afterward was very familiar with this text.
Those whose have had our faith eyes opened to the gender inversion transgenderism as practiced by the elites and those of used by them. Concerning what you were saying about Abba killing people for committing less sin than these fallen angels. Hopefully that answers your frustrations and if you find it unsatisfying please note I never claimed that this would be a completely satisfying answer. Christ be with you. Hello Tim Please note that Giants Nephlim style do still exist: How righteous and Christlike!
Note my sarcasm here! If so, then consider yourself a murderer. They placed their swords beneath their heads and their shields upon their bones, for the terror of the warriors was upon the land of the living. Doak, on the other hand, proposes to read the term as the Hebrew verb " fallen " nophlim , not a use of the specific term "Nephilim", but still according to Doak a clear reference to the Nephilim tradition as found in Genesis. Most of the contemporary English translations of Genesis 6: From there, the tradition of the giant progeny of the sons of God and the daughters of men spread to later medieval translations of the Bible.
The decision of the Greek translators to render the Heb. It seems then that the authors of Septuagint wished not only to simply translate the foreign term into Greek, but also to employ a term which would be intelligible and meaningful for their Hellenistic audiences.
Given the complex meaning of the nefilim which emerged from the three interconnected biblical passages human-divine hybrids in Genesis 6, autochthonous people in Numbers 13 and ancient warriors trapped in the underworld in Ezekiel 32 , the Greek translators recognized some similarities. First and foremost, both nefilim and gigantes were liminal figures resulting from the union of the opposite orders and as such retained the unclear status between the human and divine.
Similarly, dim was their moral designation and the sources witnessed to both awe and fascination with which these figures must have been looked upon.

Secondly, both were presented as impersonating chaotic qualities and posing some serious danger to gods and humans. They appeared either in the prehistoric or early historical context, but in both cases they preceded the ordering of the cosmos. Lastly, both gigantes and nefilim were clearly connected with underworld and were said to have originated from earth and as well end up closed therein. All early sources refer to the "sons of heaven" as angels. The earliest statement in a secondary commentary explicitly interpreting this to mean that angelic beings mated with humans can be traced to the rabbinical Targum Pseudo-Jonathan and it has since become especially commonplace in modern Christian commentaries.
This line of interpretation finds additional support in the text of Genesis 6: From this parallelism it could be inferred that the sons of God are understood as some superhuman beings. The New American Bible commentary draws a parallel to the Epistle of Jude and the statements set forth in Genesis, suggesting that the Epistle refers implicitly to the paternity of Nephilim as heavenly beings who came to earth and had sexual intercourse with women. Some Christian commentators have argued against this view, citing Jesus's statement that angels do not marry.
Evidence cited in favor of the fallen angels interpretation includes the fact that the phrase "the sons of God" Hebrew: The Septuagint manuscript Codex Alexandrinus reading of Genesis 6: Targum Pseudo-Jonathan identifies the Nephilim as Shemihaza and the angels in the name list from 1 Enoch. The story of the Nephilim is further elaborated in the Book of Enoch. Samyaza , an angel of high rank, is described as leading a rebel sect of angels in a descent to earth to have sexual intercourse with human females:. And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.
And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it In this tradition, the children of the Nephilim are called the Elioud , who are considered a separate race from the Nephilim, but they share the fate of the Nephilim.
According to these texts, the fallen angels who begat the Nephilim were cast into Tartarus 2 Peter 2: However, Jubilees also states that God granted ten percent of the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim to remain after the flood, as demons , to try to lead the human race astray until the final Judgment. In addition to Enoch , the Book of Jubilees 7: These works describe the Nephilim as being evil giants.
There are also allusions to these descendants in the deuterocanonical books of Judith References to the offspring of Seth rebelling from God and mingling with the daughters of Cain are found from the second century CE onwards in both Christian and Jewish sources e. It is also the view expressed in the modern canonical Amharic Ethiopian Orthodox Bible: And they told one another, 'Come, let us choose for us daughters from Cain's children; let us bear children for us.
Orthodox Judaism has taken a stance against the idea that Genesis 6 refers to angels or that angels could intermarry with men. Shimon bar Yochai pronounced a curse on anyone teaching this idea. Rashi and Nachmanides followed this. Pseudo-Philo Biblical Antiquities 3: Likewise, a long-held view among some Christians is that the "sons of God" were the formerly righteous descendants of Seth who rebelled, while the "daughters of men" were the unrighteous descendants of Cain, and the Nephilim the offspring of their union.
Holders of this view have looked for support in Jesus' statement that "in those days before the flood they [humans] were Some individuals and groups, including St. This also is the view of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church , supported by their own Ge'ez manuscripts and Amharic translation of the Haile Selassie Bible —where the books of 1 Enoch and Jubilees , counted as canonical by this church, differ from western academic editions.
In these sources, these offspring of Seth were said to have disobeyed God, by breeding with the Cainites and producing wicked children "who were all unlike", thus angering God into bringing about the Deluge, as in the Conflict:.
